$4550.00
The new LX 7007 system consists of two units: one 57 mm and one 80 mm unit.
The highly developed and well proven 57 mm unit remains unchanged and is
exactly the same as with the LX 7000 system. By contrast, the new 80 mm
display unit has been completely redesigned to incorporate the latest
development features of modern micro controller modules. The heart of the
unit is so called "embedded microcontroller core module"
whereby a high power microcontroller, 512 k B RAM (Random Access Memory)
with back up power battery and 1MB flash memory is integrated into the
system. These hardware features guarantee high reliability and availability.
All system-critical data is stored in a non volatile flash memory virtually
ensuring that a system failure is all but impossible. Even a failed back up
battery will have an almost negligible influence on the functionality of the
LX 7007. As with the previous LX 7000, the unit is approved as an
IGC flight recorder without limitation.
A completely new hardware design backed by numerous new firmware features

LX 7000
Display
unit for Cambridge 302
a proven,
state of the art Graphical Display
While
the Cambridge 302 is a good variometer, it needs a graphical display unit if
it is to be used as an effective soaring vario and navigation system. The
Cambridge solution is to couple a PDA to the 302. However, there are many
ergonomic problems with this solution and it is not ideal for mounting in a
glider cockpit. Now LX Navigation have solved these problems by using the
display of the LX7000 Pro and coupling it with a simple serial cable to the
302. The LX7000 display has all the functionality of a PDA but with
improved ergonomics and many added features; all contained in a package
that fits a standard 80mm (3") panel cutout.
The LX 7000 display unit has an excellent pedigree
as it is based on the well known LX7000 Pro vario navigation system which is
a market leader.
The most impressive features are the high resolution graphic display
(160x240 pixels), coupled with the well known LX philosophy of using
intuitive controls comprising four rotary switches and six push buttons.

LX 1600 is a microprocessor-driven electronic variometer with digital pressure meters.
All control functions and settings are done from a Pocket-PC software. Basic
settings can be performed with the variometers 4 push buttons.
An
external PocketPC running Navigator software from FlyWithCE
is used to control the variometer functions like volume, MacCready setting etc. LX 20 or Colibri are the ideal choice as the
GPS-source and IGC loggers, but for many (most!) any simple GPS with NMEA can be used to
give you full flight computer functions and even logger functions for most regional
events!
All new LX Navigation instruments come with and communicate though your PC with the new LXe Windows program or well known LX FAI program for DOS.
