MULTI-FUNCTION PROBES FOR PITOT-TE ONLY
Many gliders were delivered with 2 Function PITOT-STATIC Tail probes
with Tail TE being superior to fuselage mounted probes and also lower drag, many owners have requested a modified system to allow the ST-2 adapters to function with Pitot and Total-Energy.

Two-Hole TE Probes(RU)


The type RU is typically preferred in most applications.
The Two Hole type RU probes supply a constant coefficient and adapt easily to most sailplane types. The type RU is normally the best type for flapped sailplanes as they fly with a smaller angle of attack at most speeds than do standard class sailplanes.

Venturi Type TE Probes
Found as standard equipment with many German import sailplanes provide Excellent TE compensation though may be more prone to skidding errors than hole or slotted type probes.
