We modified a medical use cannula for use in aviation, and the resulting product offered duration of 6 times that of a standard cannula. Our trademarked product remains the only high duration oxygen system on the market today that is designed specifically for use in aviation

AEROX FLOWMETERS
Both Aerox and Nelson developed their own flow meters with dual-scale, one scale for use with the Oxysaver cannula; the other for use with a mask which is required at all altitudes over 18,000 ft.
A drawback of the Nelson Flow meter is that it necessitates the use of three different hose clamps to keep the components from blowing apart with the pressure coming from the regulator. In addition, the Nelson flow meter is more fragile using threaded plastic parts whereas the Aerox flow meter uses much sturdier brass needle and seat.  On Nelson flow meters it is also easier to inadvertently change the flow  when the in-line needle valve catches on a sleeve or on other equipment.
The Aerox system allows their needle valve to be either on the regulator connector with the separate needle valve (NV) and flow meter (FM) or with the (FMNV) Combination in-line Flow meter-needle valve  where flow reduction takes place and fewer clamps are needed as  the Aerox flow meter fits snugly into the modified tubing ends provided with and allowing quick changes between the the Oxysaver cannula, standard cannual and Aero 2 mask .

Optionally we offer the separate FM (Flowmeter) with needle valve hose and connector that allows the needle valve to be mounted directly onto the regulator. 

connectors in most types available (optional). The adjustable needle valve is attached to the outlet end of the connector supplied with your system. Flow can now be controlled precisely for altitude and type of equipment (Oxysaver cannula, mask or regular cannula).
The flowmeter and needle valve may also be co-located. (See photo of Aerox flowmeter and needle valve combo at right.)
NOTE: If you are using the Oxysaver cannula and wish to exceed 18,000 feet MSL, simply detach the cannula hose
from the outlet of the AEROX flowmeter and attach the hose from your mask. Remember to increase flow accordingly.

A several minute light charge allows the Glow Gauge and Glow Meter to be readable in low-light conditions for well over four hours.

Emergency (Bail-out) system from Aerox

The EMT-3 is a fixed flow system that is factory set to any desired altitude. The system lasts 25 mins at 2.5 LPM @ 25,000 FT and contains a port for easy refilling at any local airport.
