Upgrade for your existing Oudie? Yes!Starting in April all new Oudies will be
equipped with a new screen which will deliver true sunlight readability, with
the screen in the 900 nits territory. And even more importantly - we went into
considerable trouble to prepare our tools in such way that all existing Oudies
will be upgrade-able to the new screen as well.

Please note that both screens are at their peak brightness setting (yes, also the "old Oudie").
With the maps turned on, the "brighter" effect is still very much visible (speaking higly
about the contrast ratio of the screen)
We are very excited about what we are announcing today. Starting mid April an upgrade for your Oudie will become available which will make your Oudie much more sunlight readable than before. Did I say an Upgrade for your existing Oudie? Yes!
Starting in April all new Oudies will be equipped with a new screen which will deliver true sunlight readability, with the screen in the 900 nits territory. And even more importantly - we went into considerable trouble to prepare our tools in such way that all existing Oudies will be upgrade-able to the new screen as well.

Oudie is a Personal Gliding Assistant which aims at providing
everything a glider pilot needs in one simple package. For this reason
Oudie is shipped with all cables which are required to connect to your flight
data recorder or GPS, a basic suction cup holder as well as car and wall
chargers. The proven Naviter software packages SeeYou Mobile and ConnectMe
are preinstalled already. You can literally take it out of the box and use
it in your glider.
Oudie works great in combination with other Naviter products such as SeeYou for
the PC, ConnectMe, Soaring Spot and others. It was designed to answer the
question which was most frequently posted to us as "Which device should I buy to
run SeeYou Mobile?"

Cables and Converters
Oudie is delivered with a variety
of cables and converters which enable you to connect Oudie to your almost any
logger "out of the box":
1. Power and data cable

It provides power to Oudie and (optionally) to the device which is connected to
the RJ45 connector. It has three connectors:
. mini USB connector must be connected to Oudie
. black and red cable must be connected to 12V power supply (red is 12V, black
is ground).
. RJ45 connector with standard IGC pinout
Use directly with these devices: Swiss Flarm, Volkslogger, K6 Mux, VW1150
2. RJ 45 Female/Female Gender
Changer
This connector can be used for
extending the 8-wires cable using another RJ45 connector (for example ethernet
cable). It can also be used to connect RJ12 connector with 6-wires cable which
can be used for data communication with Colibri, LX 20/2000, MiniBox, RedBox and
other devices using RJ12 connectors.
3. 20 cm cable extension with
male RJ12 connectors

This is an extension cable which can be used for both power and data
transmission between Oudie and connected device. It must be used together with
RJ45 Gender Changer. Use RJ45 Gender Changer and RJ12 cable extension directly
with these devices: Colibri, LX 20/2000, MiniBox, RedBox
4. RJ45->DB9 Male and Female converters

This is a "do-it-yourself" DB9 converter. The converter pinout is free. You can
pin any wire from the RJ45 connector to any pin on the DB9 connector. Typical
use:
. LX 5000, LX 7000, Standard RS 232
. LX 160 (NOT the "si" version - see the warning below)
. Zander/SDI GP940 and GP941
WARNING: If you are attempting to connect to devices which provide 5V on
any of the pins please make absolutely sure that the pin where the other device
provides 5V is not connected to the White or Brown wires (pins 1 and 2 on RJ45).
This will cause collision and possibly damage to both connected devices! Take
particular care when connecting the following devices: Cambridge 302, LX 7007,
LX 1600, LX160si and others with built-in 12->5V converter.
The following cables are not included in the box, but are
available as chargeable optional extras:
CAI 302
Connects all models of Cambridge 302 with Oudie. This is a direct cable from CAI
to Oudie which provides both power and data communication between Oudie and CAI
302. The same cable can be used also with Zander ZS1 when connected to the
Zander Rotary Switch. It can also be used with a Baumi converter.
$66.00
LX Cable
Connects LX 7007, LX 1600, LX 160 si with Oudie. This is a direct cable from LX
devices to Oudie which provides both power and data communication between Oudie
and LX instruments.
$66.00
Please note that these cables use 5V power for charging the Oudie. For this
reason please make sure you do not use these cables in any other setup than the
one recommended by the manual otherwise you risk damage on either Oudie or
connected device.

TFAT)
5. Copy UpdateOudie.exe to the root of your Oudie device
6. Reset Oudie or press and hold the On/Off key for 1 second and select "Power
off". Then power it back on by holding the button for another second.
7. Wait until it boots into an Update dialog box
8. Press "Update" and wait until the process is finished
9. Reboot the Oudie one more time, then it is updated.
ConnectMe
is a complementary product to SeeYou Mobile. It allows you to manage your
GPS/logger from the Pocket PC.
Current
version is ConnectMe 2.17, last modified: 05. Jun. 2009
ConnectMe allows you to transfer the
data between your home PC and glider instrumentation through the Pocket PC. You
are able to change your flight declaration minutes before takeoff without even
having to change the cables. This is free software. You may download it from
this website and use it on your Pocket PC immediately. You may also take a
tour before you decide to download ConnectMe!

Analyze
let's you display your flights, barograms and statistics directly on you Pocket
PC
From version 2.00 program Analyze can be installed to the memory card.
Now you can install the Analyze program together with Navigator on the same
Memory card.
The procedure is the same as for the Navigator. Please check the
Navigator Memory Card
installation section.
With program Analyze you can view flight recordings in IGC
format. It is written for Pocket PC devices (OS version 3.00 or higher). Program
will run on devices with ARM and MIPS microprocessors.
only EU 29.00
Order direct from FlyWithCE
Main menu After
you load the IGC file (File - Open... option) you can navigate to different
pages to check your flight. For quick navigation between pages you can also use
the arrow keys on the menu bar. Program will circle between pages (map page is
an exception). By pressing the button in the middle of the arrow buttons, you
will return to the Main menu.
File
info Here you can check all information that is written in the IGC file
header. Most interesting would be information about the pilot, plane and flight
recorder, which was used to record this flight.

Statistics Basic flight statistics are displayed here. UTC time is used to display the take off and landing time.

Select task On this screen you can disable the task declared in the
flight recorder. Task statistics will not be displayed and also task will not be
plotted on the map. This is useful feature if you were not flying the declared
task.
Task statistics Analyze will check the task and display the basic statistics: - task length - task duration (if completed)- average task speed (if completed)- position of each waypoint- distance and course between waypoints- time and altitude at which the waypoint was turned- average leg speed. Sector settings (defined in Settings - Sectors tab) are used to check the task.
Map On map display you can check the flight path. If you select the
task, than it will be plotted on the map. Waypoint, airspaces and elevation map
will be displayed if you select appropriate file in the Settings dialog windows
- Files tab. The list of supported files is the same as for the
Navigator program.You can
zoom in by dragging the pen on the map. The other option is to select the
predefined zoom by selecting the icon in the top right corner. One of the
predefined zoom values is also Flight, which will change zoom value to display
whole flight. You can change the Zoom to Pan mode by taping on the icon in the
top left corner. Now when you will drag the pen across the screen, program will
change the map position (and maintain the zoom value).

Barogram You can change the scale of the barogram by changing the
setting in the combo box in the top right corner. On the barogram the ENL
parameter value is displayed (if recorded in the IGC file) and also the position
of the waypoints. UTC time is displayed.
Settings Settings are similar as in the Navigator program. Most values are shared between the programs. So if you are using the Navigator than most likely you do not have to change anything.
DownLoader
Pocket PC with DownLoader program is perfect replacement for quite
big and usually very expensive notebooks, which displays are usually poorly
visible under direct sunlight. After download you can check flights with
Analyze. At home you can
transfer flights from Pocket PC to your desktop computer where you have other
flight analysis software. Download flights directly
to your Pocket PC device with program DownLoader. Flights are written in
device memory in manufacturers and in IGC file format. With program you can also
upload and download waypoint and task file and change IGC flight recorder
settings.
