At one time, the SZD factory considered supplying SZD 51s in kit form for the US market. This aircraft was shipped to test that concept, but the prospective dealer did nothing with it. It has been in climate controlled, dry storage for a number of years. The kit is believed to be complete, but no guarantee is made to that effect. Wings and tail were shipped completely finished. Control system, instrument panels, canopy, wheel, brake, hardware, seat, some instruments, and even assembly jigs are included. Sorry, no plans or paperwork at all have been found. There are other Juniors flying in the USA for reference. The assembly process seems quite straightforward.
